As Pastor Mick announced at service yesterday, the Elders are in the final steps of consideration in the decision to bring Jason Johnson on as a full time staff member at the church, and would like to invite congregational feedback prior to finalizing the decision.
Jason’s position would be that of “Assistant Pastor Over Youth & Recovery Ministries.”
Jason and his wife Elearie have been a part of our church since they gave their lives to Christ some seven years ago. They have both been involved in various volunteer ministries with children, youth, and MiniChurch. Jason has also served as a Program Director for the Metcalf Recovery Ranch in Blythe. They have two young children, Jasel, and J.T.
As the job title would imply, Jason’s primary focus of ministry would be twofold:
Direct and oversee the Youth Ministry (Jr. Hi & Hi School age), working with the youth, and providing direction for our volunteer leaders and helpers.
Develop and direct a distinctly Christ-centered Recovery Program.
Pastor Mick and the Elders would appreciate the congregation’s commitment to prayer, and feedback and input regarding this direction – both of support, or of any particular concerns. Please make any comments by either email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or calling Pastor Mick, Elder Rick Crichton, or Elder Ken Jones (numbers in directory), or by calling the church office (760-922-9675).
Please submit any feedback by January 25th.
