“Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it.” ~
The heart of our children’s ministry occurs at the same time as the adult worship service, Sunday mornings at 9:45. We meet until about 11:15 and have different teaching activities, memory verse activities, and crafts. We also occasionally have children’s ministry special events. Our vision is to provide a Christ centered learning environment that is safe, fun, welcoming and interactive for children ages 4 years old – 5th grade. We implement this by presenting the gospel in an understandable way through songs, prayer, biblical studying, activities/crafts, games, biblical videos and by memorizing God’s word.
A typical Sunday morning will include a welcoming time for children to interact with one another with toys and various assorted activities. Then an interactive group discussion will be led by a Children’s Ministry leader, which will include a devotional time of songs, biblical teaching and prayer. Children will be separated into age appropriate groups and will participate in various work stations (Bible study, activity/craft, and memory verse/bible challenge). To conclude the program all the children will gather together to watch a biblical video and eat snacks.
Our Children’s Ministry workers are volunteer parents, youth and church attendees who desire to model God’s loving-kindness to the children. The Children’s Ministry workers serve one Sunday every four weeks as part of a rotating team. Each team is designed to promote spiritual unity through prayer, support, and accountability.
